Tough Enough to Wear Pink

Call it a pink craze or whatever you like, but at rodeos the past couple of years you may have seen pink barrels, pink cowboy hats, pink chaps, pink shirts, pink balloons and pink beads. The Ellensburg rodeo is no different.

The Ellensburg Rodeo has been sponsoring the Tough Enough To Wear Pink day on Sunday of rodeo, since 2006. The Tough Enough To Wear Pink campaign that supports awareness of breast cancer, early detection and funding for research has taken hold! There are many activities at this year’s rodeo in keeping the arena pink.

All rodeo fans are encouraged to wear pink on Sunday. A variety of pink merchandise will be available for purchase, including pink western bandanas, strands of beads, sunglasses, t-shirts and tank tops.

All proceeds raised will benefit The Foundation at Kittitas Valley Healthcare’s Tough Enough to Wear Pink Fund. Funds raised directly support Breast Cancer early detection and education in Kittitas County.
